SORT (Statistics and Operations Research Transactions) —formerly Qüestiió— is an international journal launched in 2003. It is published twice-yearly, in English, by the Statistical Institute of Catalonia (Idescat). The journal is co-edited by the Technical University of Catalonia(External link: a new window will open), the University of Barcelona(External link: a new window will open), the Autonomous University of Barcelona(External link: a new window will open), the University of Girona(External link: a new window will open), the Pompeu Fabra University(External link: a new window will open), the University of Lleida(External link: a new window will open) and the Rovira i Virgili University(External link: a new window will opener), with the co-operation of the Spanish Section of the International Biometric Society(External link: a new window will open) and the Catalan Statistical Society(External link: a new window will open). SORT promotes the publication of original articles of a methodological or applied nature or motivated by an applied problem in statistics, operations research, official statistics or biometrics. We encourage authors to include real examples of application in their manuscripts.
