II. Scope & Description

BBA-General Subjects accepts for submission either original, hypothesis-driven studies or reviews covering subjects in biochemistry and biophysics that are considered to have general interest for a wide audience. Manuscripts with interdisciplinary approaches are especially encouraged. Preferred topics include medically important biochemistry/biophysics research and emerging areas such as nanobiology, systems biology, chemical biology, structural biology, novel complexes, cellular signaling, glycobiology, redox biology, neurobiology, and mechanistic characterization of compounds having biochemical importance and general interest.
