The open access journal MKMedienKommunikationswissenschaft ISSN 1615634X is edited and published on behalf of the LeibnizInstitut fr MedienforschungHansBredowInstitut HBI since 1953.It provides a forum for discussion of media and communications related issues as well as for analyses of current media developments from various perspectives that are directed to all kinds of media. The journal reflects the latest trends in research and public discussion of media.MK primarily addresses scholars journalists media organisations and all those interested in the media in politics business associations media and educational organisations.MK is published 4 times a year in print and open access. It runs to approximately 600 pages p.a. and contains articles reports contributions to discussions reviews on literature a survey of new literature and an overview of new journal publications as well as of doctoral theses that have been written in the field of media and communication science.
