The aim of Policy and Practice in Health and Safety PPHS is to act as a forum for the discussion of scientific and practicebased aspects of health and safety. An important characteristic of the journal is that we aim to publish research which has significant practical implications for the wider world of occupational safety and health OSH. In line with the wider aims of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health IOSHwww.iosh.co.uk the journal seeks to publish work which is capable of contributing to safe healthy and sustainable work environments. Professionals for whom PPHS is of interest include psychologists sociologists occupational safety and health professionals occupational hygienists policy makers and professional involved in the regulation and management of health and safety. We especially encourage submission to the journal from OSH practitioners.All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the EditorinChief and if found suitable for further consideration they are then subject to peer review by independent anonymous expert referees.
