The Journal of Nuclear Medicine (JNM)—the flagship publication of SNM—has been ranked the top medical imaging journal worldwide, according to new data released in the 2008 Journal Citation Reports© published by Thomson Reuters. The top ranking recognizes JNM"s exceptional quality and increasing influence as an academic and professional resource. JNM—a peer-reviewed, monthly publication—earned an impact factor of 6.662, representing an increase of more than 12 percent from 2007 (5.915) and more than a 33 percent increase from 2006. The Thomson Reuters rating—announced June 20, 2009—places JNM ahead of other leading imaging journals, including Radiology, Neuroimage, and the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
