Plant biology is an international journal of broad scope bringing together the different subdisciplines, such as physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, development, genetics, systematics, ecology, evolution, ecophysiology, plant-microbe interactions, mycology and phytopathology. To this end, the international board of section editors represents all major areas of plant science and has a broad international base. Plant Biology publishes original problem oriented research papers, rapid communications, and review articles. Discussions of hot topics and provocative opinion articles will be published under the heading acute views.
