Scope/Description:

The Atlantic Economic Journal AEJ has an international reputation for excellent articles in all interest areas without regard to fields or methodological preferences. Founded in 1973 by the International Atlantic Economic Society a need was identified for increased communication among scholars from different countries. For over 30 years the AEJ has continuously sought articles that traced some of the most critical economic changes and developments to occur on the global level. The journals goal is to facilitate and synthesize economic research across nations to encourage crossfertilization of ideas and scholarly research. Contributors include some of the worlds most respected economists and financial specialists including Nobel laureates and leading government officials. AEJ welcomes both theoretical and empirical articles as well as public policy papers. All manuscripts are submitted to a doubleblind peer review process. In addition to formal publication of fulllength articles the AEJ provides an opportunity for less formal communication through its Anthology section. A small point may not be worthy of a fulllength formal paper but is important enough to warrant dissemination to other researchers. Research in progress may be of interest to other scholars in the field. A research approach ending in negative results needs to be shared to save others similar pitfalls. The Anthology section has been established to facilitate these forms of communication.

Impact Factor

Impact factor (IF) is a scientometric factor based on the yearly average number of citations on articles published by a particular journal in the last two years. A journal impact factor is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. Find out more: What is a good impact factor?

III. Other Science Influence Indicators

Any impact factor or scientometric indicator alone will not give you the full picture of a science journal. There are also other factors such as H-Index, Self-Citation Ratio, SJR, SNIP, etc. Researchers may also consider the practical aspect of a journal such as publication fees, acceptance rate, review speed. H-Index

The h-index is an author-level metric that attempts to measure both the productivity and citation impact of the publications of a scientist or scholar. The index is based on the set of the scientist's most cited papers and the number of citations that they have received in other publications
