Historia Mexicana es la revista del Centro de Estudios Histricos de El Colegio de Mxico. Fundada en 1951 constituye una de las ms antiguas revistas mexicanas especializadas en la indagacin del pasado. Su primer director Daniel Coso Villegas fue junto con Alfonso Reyes cofundador de El Colegio de Mxico. Han sido directores de Historia Mexicana reconocidos profesores del Centro de Estudios Histricos Luis Muro Luis Gonzlez Josefina Zoraida Vzquez Enrique Florescano Bernardo Garca Martnez Clara E. Lida Solange Alberro scar Mazn y Pablo Yankelevich. Actualmente la dirige Rafael Rojas y desde 1992 Beatriz Morn Gortari est a cargo de la Redaccin.La revista Historia Mexicana es un referente ineludible para la investigacin histrica de Mxico y Amrica Latina. A lo largo de ms de seis dcadas se ha mantenido fiel al objetivo propuesto por sus fundadores publicar trabajos originales basados en investigaciones del ms alto nivel acadmico para de este modo contribuir a la difusin actualizacin y renovacin del conocimiento histrico del pasado mexicano y latinoamericano.Historia Mexicana est abierta a anlisis comparados con realidades y procesos que se han desarrollado en otras latitudes principalmente en el mundo hispnico. Adems considera indispensable no slo difundir sino promover el debate historiogrfico en torno a temas obras y autores que han contribuido de manera sustancial a profundizar y ensanchar las fronteras de la investigacin histrica.
