Scope/Description:

The primary mission of the International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction IJTHI is to be instrumental in the improvement and development of the theory and practice of technology and human interaction appealing to both practicing managers and academics. The research that the journal intends to publish should therefore be interdisciplinary and include aspects from a wide variety of disciplines. These disciplines range from more technical ones such as computer science engineering or information systems to nontechnical descriptions of technology and human interaction from the point of view of sociology or philosophy. Apart from being interdisciplinary the journal also aspires to provide a publication outlet for research questions and approaches that are novel and may find it difficult to be published in established journals following a rigid and exclusive structure. It is open to all research paradigms be they empirical or conceptual but requires that they be accessible and reflected. The journal also encourages the submission of high quality syntheses across research in different specialties that are interesting and comprehensible to all members of the IS community and related disciplines.

Impact Factor

Impact factor (IF) is a scientometric factor based on the yearly average number of citations on articles published by a particular journal in the last two years. A journal impact factor is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field. Find out more: What is a good impact factor?

III. Other Science Influence Indicators

Any impact factor or scientometric indicator alone will not give you the full picture of a science journal. There are also other factors such as H-Index, Self-Citation Ratio, SJR, SNIP, etc. Researchers may also consider the practical aspect of a journal such as publication fees, acceptance rate, review speed.
