The aim of the Iranian Journal of Neonatology IJN is to disseminate new medical knowledge via publishing original articles relating to ba sic and clinical research in neonatology and perinatology from across the globe.This peer reviewed open access journal covers all aspect of neonatal perinatal medicine and to promote healthcare and management of newborn infants pregnant women as well as the family of the neonate.Although other journals also publish such papers IJN is the only Iranian journal dedicated exclusively to neonatology in its broadest sense. In this era of rapid growth in research and medical advancements in the field of neonatal health there was a need for a comprehensive journal in this field.
