Journal of Comparative Politics is the semiannually journal of the Consortium of three Central European universities University of Economics in Bratislava Slovakia University of Ljubljana Slovenia Alma Mater EuropaeaEuropean Centre Maribor Slovenia. The Journal of Comparative Politics journal started in 2007 to meet the needs of political scientists throughout the world interested in the advancement of their discipline and in escaping the parochialism threatening the pursuit of knowledge within the confines of a single culture. The journal focuses on the comparison of political cultures of Central and Eastern European countries their practical policy theoretical questions of comparative political science theoretical and practical questions of the development of civil society and civil policy in this region.Two principal aims animate the Journal of Comparative Politics to provide its readers promptly with the best work being done in political science 1 on the central and currently controversial themes of the discipline and 2 in new areas of inquiry where political scientistsalone or in conjunction with other scholarsare shaping innovative concepts and methodologies of political analysis.
