Linguistics of the TibetoBurman Area is a peerreviewed refereed journal devoted to the synchronic and diachronic study of the languages of mainland Southeast Asia the IndoBurma region the Tibetan Plateau and the Himalayas with a special focus on the vast and ramified TibetoBurman family. In addition to TibetoBurman articles have appeared on languages belonging to all the major linguistic families of this great expanse of Asia including Austroasiatic HmongMien IndoAryan and TaiKadai.
