Mastozoologa Neotropical includes original research articles reviews that summarize existing knowledge on a topic book reviews and abstracts of undergraduate or doctoral theses on Neotropical mammals. Mastozoologa Neotropical publishes relevant articles on biogeography developmental biology behavior conservation distribution ecology evolution physiology genetics morphology paleontology parasitology systematics taxonomy and zoonosis where the biology of terrestrial and aquatic nonhuman mammals is the central theme of research. The journal is open access free acquisition and free of charge to publish for members of SAREM and SBMz. Mastozoologa Neotropical is a member of the basic core of scientific journals of CONICET and is indexed in Zoological Record Wildlife Review Biological Abstracts BIOSIS Latindex level 1 SCImago Quartile 3 Scopus and SciELO Scientific Electronic Library OnLine. It is published biannually and exclusively in digital format since 2017. The journal Mastozoologa Neotropical has been published since 1994 with the support of the Sociedad Argentina para el Estudio de los Mamferos SAREM and more recently 2016 of the Sociedade Brasileira de Mastozoologia SBMz. Its articles are peerreviewed by academics to ensure the publication of high quality papers.
