Middle Eastern Literatures is endorsed by the Union Europnne des Arabisants et Islamisants UEAI and Classical Arabic Poetry Symposium CAPS and provides a forum for the academic study of all Middle Eastern literatures. Works on literature composed in for example Persian Turkish postBiblical and modern Hebrew Kurdish or Urdu are welcomed. Regional literatures of the area such as the Arabic French and Tamazight Berber literature from North Africa also fall within the scope of the journal. The editors welcome high quality scholarly contributions in English French or German devoted to aspects of either one or several of the literatures of the Middle East whether classical or modern.
