ObjectifsFondée en 1960 par Jean Stoetzel, de parution trimestrielle, la Revue française de sociologie est la première revue généraliste de sociologie francophone. Elle publie des travaux qui contribuent à la connaissance du monde social et au développement des outils, conceptuels et techniques, de cette connaissance. Couvrant tous les domaines de la discipline, la Revue publie des textes de nature variée : articles à dominante théorique ou empirique, revues de question, notes critiques, comptes rendus d’ouvrages. Elle propose régulièrement des numéros entièrement thématiques et des numéros partiellement centrés sur un thème.
