Scope/Description:

First published in 1953 as the official diffusion organ of the newly created Colombian Institute of Anthropology it replaced the Journal of the National Ethnological Institute Revista del Instituto Etnolgico Nacional and the Bulletin of Archaeology Boletn de Arqueologa. Since then the RCA has reflected disciplinary trends in the country and has served as a venue for advancing research in various fields and critical discussion at the national and international level. The RCA is directed to the community of researchers teachers professionals and students of anthropology and the social sciences.The RCA receives unpublished contributions in Spanish original research articles reflection articles review articles short articles case reports and reviews. Its structure includes several sections a thematic dossier a methods section miscellaneous contributions and reviews.
