Scope/Description:

La Revista Mexicana de Sociologa fundada en 1939 es la ms antigua de su gnero y una de las ms reconocidas en Amrica Latina por su calidad acadmica. A travs de su historia y de su publicacin ininterrumpida ha reflejado tanto los cambios ocurridos en el desarrollo terico y emprico de la sociologa a lo largo de sus ocho dcadas como los problemas sociales ms sobresalientes de cada poca.Con el propsito fundamental de difundir el conocimiento y promover el debate acadmico la revista ha tenido diferentes etapas. Actualmente con un carcter internacional y con una periodicidad trimestral publica trabajos originales que son resultado de investigacin y que contribuyen al avance del conocimiento en la sociologa en todos sus campos y temas as como al abordaje sociolgico en interaccin con otras disciplinas y otras ciencias sociales que la enriquecen.
