Temas Americanistas desde 1982 es un vehculo de difusin de estudios de Historia de Amrica que surgi bajo la direccin del Dr. Luis Navarro Garca de un grupo de investigacin dentro del Departamento de Historia de Amrica de la Universidad de Sevilla.Desde sus orgenes como instrumento de difusin de trabajos elaborados por miembros del grupo de investigacin Andaluca y Amrica tierra y sociedad que sala en la forma tradicional de papel mucho han variado as cosas de forma que hoy est abierta a cualquier trabajo que rena las condiciones de calidad de investigacin y de novedad. Al presentarse en formato digital se obtienen no pocas ventajas en cuanto a poder incorporar ilustraciones y todo tipo de materiales grficos sin coste adicional. Si es cierto que no hay lmite de extensin de las colaboraciones en este formato lo razonable es que stas tengan normalmente alrededor de veinte folios.La revista se editar con una periodicidad semestral con vencimiento al final de cada semestre natural.Aunque no existan lmites en cuanto a la temtica dadas las condiciones especficas que la han caracterizado y las ofrecidas por los recursos existentes en Sevilla siempre se ha tenido una intensidad mucho mayor en temas de la Historia Moderna de Amrica.
