Die im Auftrag der Deutschen Gesellschaft fr Volkskunde e.V. dgv herausgegebene halbjhrlich erscheinende Zeitschrift fr Volkskunde reprsentiert das aktuelle Forschen in der Europischen EthnologieEmpirischen KulturwissenschaftKulturanthropologie in seiner Bandbreite. Zu den blicherweise vier Aufstzen auch Publikationen von Antrittsvorlesungen den Verffentlichungen im Berichtsteil sowie zu den Rezensionen ldt die Redaktion Autorinnen ein.Die Beitrge behandeln Phnomene von Alltagskulturen europischer Gesellschaften. Der Schwerpunkt der historischen Ausrichtung liegt auf der Gegenwart und dem 19. Jahrhundert. Die Artikel basieren auf der Analyse von Feldforschungsmaterialien auf qualitativen Interviewanalysen Medien und Diskursanalysen Archivalienforschung oder auf der Analyse von Dingen.
